At the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, a young Bob Dylan disrupts the folk music scene by going electric and making rock the voice of a generation — defining one of the most transformative moments in 20th-century music. According to an October 2020 Collider interview with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project was going to be put on hold due to the recently released COVID precautions studios are taking. And because of that, Papamichael and director James Mangold are looking to other projects. “I don’t think it’s dead,” Papamichael said of the Chalamet-led biopic, “but it’s hard to make in the age of COVID because it’s all set in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you have a lot of hair and makeup. “Our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is doing that.”
