Don’t Ever ChangeWritten by Dylan Altman, Rodney Clawson & Jake MitchellPerformed by Rodney Clawson. Now this may not be a great movie but it's definitely a good one. I did guess it before ( after a couple of clues ) I knew the whole story but that didn't ruin the good twists toward the end.

As many have said the movie starts of slow and uninteresting

Two stories run parallel to each other and both get better and better. During the first half hour my wife kept asking me what the heck the movie is about but after a couple of plot reveals the story tightens and weaves to come together in the end. O'Brian as always does a good job and is helped by an earnest supporting cast.

Pacing also picks up in the second half

I’VE WATCHED THE ANCIENT ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN TIMES AND EVERY TIME I WATCH IT IS FUNNY… NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU’RE TALKING TO A DEAD NUMBER… Do you think I am qualified? The Geffen Company logo is accompanied by a macabre version of the song Banana Boat (sung by the film’s composer, Danny Elfman). A working copy of the film with some added/alternate scenes has been released. This version of the film is about 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, has a few extra scenes and is missing, black and white, and has a timecode at the bottom. This version has 4 main differences: Alternate Scene: The scene where Adam tries to leave the house after he and his wife die is different.

Instead of a desert, he sees an empty darkness full of moving gears. Additional Scenes: There is an additional scene where Lydia develops the photos she took of Adam and Barbra. Then, after her mother yells at her and blames her for making holes in her sheets, Lydia runs upstairs and tries to convince her father that the pictures are real. There is much more to the scene where the adults are looking for ghosts in the attic where we see the desert monster try to eat Adam and Barbra as they hang out of the attic window. Finally, there is an additional 2 minute scene at the end where we see Lydia riding her bike home from school and her parents talking to Jane on the phone telling her they don’t want to sell the house. Lydia’s dance scene is shorter in this version, and there is no scene with Beetlejuice in the waiting room. The film ends with a final exterior shot of the house.

Attaway and Irving Burgie [Incorrectly written by William A. Attaway and Irving Burgie (as Lord Burgess)] Performed by Harry Belafonte, courtesy of RCA Records. Considering she doesn’t feature much in the movie and the movie is named after her character, she steals the entire show when she comes front and center. It’s so good you’ll be amazed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jim Carrey didn’t use Michael Keaton’s role as Beetlejuice to model the fantastic cartoon character Stanley Ipkiss in The Mask. I love the B-movie special effects and the Shake Senora dance scene. A slight downside, however, was the Betelgeuse/Beetlejuice dilemma.

The only downside

I wish they explained it a little better, though I have a dyslexic twist now; After all these years, I kept checking to see if I had misread the name of the movie and stopping the movie to check the title. Overall, this is a fun and unusual movie. I would watch it just for Keaton’s performance.
