Original stories set in the world of iconic video games are featured in this animated anthology series.. Video games have made the leap to the screen in a big way, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations in movies and shows.. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character in the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game.. As referenced in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). As a longtime fan of Tim Miller’s other show, Love Death + Robots, I was really excited about this. Then I started to notice that not many of the stories could hold my attention for very long. They would end right before anything interesting happened. I think the show would benefit from focusing more on the concepts and ideas from the games it’s adapting, rather than showing how groundbreaking and revolutionary these games are that you could play rather than just watch the show. I liked LDR because it used the short time it had to deliver some amazing world building and characters you can get attached to, but the episodes here barely do that. Otherwise, the animation is spectacular and the voice cast is great. I want to wait until the full set comes out before I give my opinion.
